Return bus Preikestolen Cruise & hike summer

Return bus from Preikestolen Basecamp to Stavanger takes approx. 45 minues. 

All return buses will stop at Jørpeland and Byterminalen in Stavanger. 

May – September 2025

• Boat from Strandkaien, Stavanger to Forsand: at 10:00 – 12:30 (2.5 hours) 
• Bus from Forsand to Preikestolen Basecamp: at 12:30 – 13:00 (approx. 30 minutes) 
• Hike roundtrip Preikestolen: approx. 4 hours 
• Return by bus from Preikestolen Basecamp to Stavanger at 18:15 

All other return buses are first come, first seated, so advance availability is not guaranteed. Please arrive early enough to ensure you get a seat if you must take a specific bus back to town. 

May 1 – June 22
Return from Preikestolen Basecamp at 18:15 and 20:30 

June 23 – September 14
Return from Preikestolen Basecamp at 16:00, 17:15, 18:00, 18:15, 19:05 and 21:30 

September 15 – September 30
Return from Preikestolen Basecamp kl. 16:15 and 18:15 

October 2025

• Boat from Strandkaien, Stavanger to Forsand: at 11:00 – 13:20 (2.5 hours) 
• Bus from Forsand to Preikestolen Basecamp: 13:20 – 13:50 (approx. 30 minutes) 
• Hike roundtrip Preikestolen: approx. 4 hours 
• Return by bus from Preikestolen Basecamp to Stavanger at 16:15 and 18:15
